# Can tasks appear in a step by step order?

No. All of the tasks and challenges in the list will appear once the hunt starts. Although all of the tasks are displayed at once, the tasks can be completed in any order, which adds flexibility for the participants and another level of strategy. Additionally, we found this process to work best for the user experience as a task-by-task hunt can lead to bottlenecking where players are following each other from point to point trying to complete the same tasks. Also, it has a higher rate of hunt abandonment as players can get stuck at one task and are unable to move forward to the next task.
